In my work, it is meaningful to promote the protection of innovative ideas and the success of clients. I feel inspired by being a part of technological development, and I enjoy the fact that I constantly learn new things in my work.
Thomas started to work as a patent agent trainee in Laine IP’s U.S. team in October 2023, focusing primarily on inventions in the chemical industry.
Thomas has previously worked at Åbo Akademi as a research assistant. He was part of the research team for the SUSBINCO project, which focused on bio-based binders and sustainable coatings for various applications, such as fiber-based packaging.
Thomas holds a M.Sc. (Chemical- and Process Engineering) degree from Åbo Akademi University, majoring in Natural Materials Technology.
In his leisure time he actively plays golf, which he has done ever since he was young and also played on a professional level. He’s also interested in other outdoor activities and sports. For example, he frequently goes winter swimming, and also follows football.
