Benjamin joined Laine IP in January 2025. He works as a patent engineer in Laine IP’s U.S. IP team, focusing primarily on inventions in the telecommunications and computer-related fields.
Previously, Benjamin served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at University of Helsinki Department of Computer Science, working on topics including mobile networking, AI, and augmented reality. Additionally, he served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Aalto University Department of Communications and Networking, working on topics including mobile device usage and quality of experience (QoE).
Benjamin holds a D.Sc. degree in Network Economics and a M.Sc. degree in Communication Ecosystems from Aalto University, and a B.Sc. degree in Software Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE).
In his leisure time Benjamin plays disc golf, and he also enjoys watching independent movies and following world news.
